Wendy is the Executive Director of the National Alliance for Media Arts And Culture.


 
 

Wendy is also the founder and director of New Arts Axis and a Senior Consultant with the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program.

In 2012, Wendy co-founded Sparkwise, an online data and story platform funded by the MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She is the recipient of the 2013 Princess Grace Statue Award for distinguished contribution to the media arts field.

From 2004 – 2011, Wendy was Creative Director at BAVC where she led the Producers Institute for New Media Technologies and numerous other programs.

During her tenure in 2011, BAVC was the recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Award for Creative and Effective Institutions.

Wendy has been a featured speaker and moderator at the United Nations, Sundance, Skoll World Forum, and SXSW, among many other venues. She has served as an Advisor to the Sundance/Skoll Stories of Change Program, World Pulse, Tribeca New Media Fund, International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission and Open Society Foundation’s Documentary Photography Project, in addition to a diverse group of NGOs, social entrepreneurs and independent artists around the world.
