a story of African Resistance

 

Set within the earliest days of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, They Resisted tells the story of African resistance to the slave trade. Some greedy African leaders did all they can to acquire goods brought in from Europe and to hold on to power. A young man stands up to his Chief who has been accusing people of witchcraft as an excuse to sell them into slavery. His anger leads him try and make a change and he convince others join him in taking action.
