African Ninja

Set in present day Freetown, Sierra Leone, African Ninja tells the story of an unlikely hero – a local fisherman named Sorie Lee Sessay.

This kung-fu comedy is inspired by the urban legend that Chinese commercial fishing vessels intentionally ram and sink local Sierra Leonean boats. Sorie was orphaned as a child by such an event. We meet him as a young man, more concerned with good times than saving the world, but a chance meeting while delivering fish to a restaurant serving the business elite changes his life and the destiny of the planet forever.
